Official Endorsements

The CAE ICCU e-Learning multimedia curriculum is endorsed by the Université de Montréal, the CRI (Critical Care Education Network), the Canadian Critical Care Society (CCCS), the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) and the American Society of Echocardiography.

The Division of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of the Faculty of Medicine of the Université de Montréal is fully accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Continuing Medical Education (CACME), by the Collège des médecins du Québec (CMQ) and by the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (RCPSC). Since January 2010, the RCPSC also has an agreement with the American Medical Association that allows it to designate this activity for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(tm).

It is now a mandatory part of the critical care ultrasound certification process offered by the ACCP.

Costs of the CME credits are included in the subscription fee.

CME Information

Following modifications to the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada’s (RCPSC) regulations with regards to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Activities for the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Program, CAE Healthcare can no longer issue CME\CPD certificates via our e-Learning Management System.

Once you have successfully completed a “Topic”, in other words you have viewed all the scenes, taken all the pre and post tests for each “Module” and passed the final test for each “Course” with a minimum of 70%, you will be directed to complete the evaluation form required by the RCPSC.

You will receive your CPD certificate via e-mail directly from the CPASS of the Université de Montréal within 90 days of submitting the evaluation form.

For the general practitioner, the Division of CPD recognizes this activity for 1 MainPro-C, Section 3 credit per hour of content plus testing.

The Faculté des sciences infirmières de l'Université de Montréal recognizes this activity as accredited training for 1 hour of content plus testing.

For all other professional participants, this activity provides a certificate of participation for 1 hour of content plus testing.
