Biography

John Kendall, MD FACEP is a board certified emergency physician who is the Director of Emergency Ultrasound and the Ultrasound Fellowship at Denver Health Medical Center. His interest in ultrasound began during his residency at the University of Southern California and has continued at Denver Health Medical Center. Although he has significant experience and success in emergency ultrasound research, one of his main areas of interest is in emergency ultrasound education. He developed the ultrasound curriculum for the emergency medicine residencies at the University of Southern California and Denver Health Medical Center. He has been teaching ultrasound courses nationally and internationally for over 13 years. He co-authored the CD-ROM, "Ultrasound in Emergency Medicine and Trauma" as well as co-editing the textbook, "Practical Guide to Emergency Ultrasound". Dr. Kendall has organized and taught in over 100 ultrasound courses and was the Chair of the ACEP Ultrasound Section in 2004. He continues to be active in ultrasound education, starting the Ultrasound Fellowship at Denver Health Medical Center in 2005.
